Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF)

Over the Easter, Summer and Winter school breaks Bolton council gives out funding to local children’s and youth groups to run free activities for and feed local children on free schools meals and from low income families.

We are proud to be a regular HAF venue to support our community with Free activities over the holiday periods, EasterZone, SummerZone and WinterZone.

Below are the details from our latest HAF clubs and our next upcoming will be posted as booking opens.

SummerZone 2023

Weeks beginning:

31st July – 7th August – 14th August – 21st August

Monday-Thursday

Over the School summer holidays of 2023 we saw a total of 95 young people booked on for our 4 weeks of activities, averaging 35 children per day all enjoying what we had to offer.

EasterZone 2023

4 days: 3rd – 6th April

10am – 2pm

Completely FREE to all

Over the Easter break we hosted 4 days of activities and saw a total of 45 children booked on with an average of 25 per day.

We also received a very generous donation of Easter Eggs from ‘HomelessAidUK’ and every child lefton the final day with a chocolate egg and a massive smile.

WinterZone 2022

4 Days: 27th – 30th December

10am – 2pm

Free to All!

Between Christmas and the New year we held 4 days of activities for the children in our community. Helping re-introducing a level of structure which is quickly lost over the winter holidays to prepare the children for the back to school routine.

We averaged 25 children per day with 35 booked on.

SummerZone 2022

All 6 weeks, Monday-Friday. 10am – 2pm

Weeks 1+2 £3 per child per day or £10 per child for the whole week.

Weeks 3-6 completely FREE Monday-Thursday and £3 per child on Friday.

This SummerZone has been one of our busiest yet! Over 100 children booked on, average 60 per day with our busiest day seeing 85 children!

EasterZone 2022

Both Easter holiday weeks. Monday-Friday. 10am – 2pm.

Week 1 = £3 per child per day or £10 for the week.

Week 2 = FREE Monday-Thursday. £3 per child on Friday.

For this years EasterZone activities we had 50 young people booked on and averaged 30 per day.

The chidlren had a wondrful time and thanks to ‘HomelessAidUK’ we had loads of easter eggs and treats to hand out to the children as prizes and gifts.

Plus, on Tuesday 5th April we had a visit from St. Thomas’s school with tutorials on music production, dance and football!
