We welcomed a fantastic group of young people to our Bradshawgate centre for four days of music, games and creative activities. Each session brought energy, laughter and a real sense of community.
This video captures the atmosphere from across the week. Music played throughout the sessions, and young people got fully involved in games and activities. They relaxed, expressed themselves and enjoyed time together in a safe space.
These sessions give young people more than just something to do. They create space to build confidence, form friendships and feel part of something positive.
Our team worked closely with the group each day. We supported, encouraged and made sure everyone felt included.
We’re proud of what the group achieved and grateful to everyone who took part. The energy they brought made the week a success.

15/04/2026Last week, we hosted four days of Easter activities at our Bradshawgate centre, and it was a fantastic success.
Each day, young people joined us for four hours of games, creative sessions and group activities in a safe and welcoming environment. The sessions gave everyone the chance to have fun, try new things and spend time with others during the school holidays.
Throughout the week, we saw young people build confidence, make new friendships and get involved in a wide range of activities. From arts and crafts to team games, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Our team worked hard to create a positive and supportive space where every young person felt included and able to take part. It was great to see so much energy, creativity and laughter across all four days.
Programmes like this play an important role in supporting young people outside of school. They provide structure, connection and opportunities to grow in a relaxed setting.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the week so special. We’ve come away feeling inspired and excited for what’s ahead.
We’re now looking forward to building on this momentum as we head towards our summer activities.

24/03/2026We have now opened bookings for our Easter Holiday Club, and we’re looking forward to welcoming children this April.
This year, we are keeping the programme smaller and more focused. We will run all sessions from our town centre hub so children can feel comfortable and fully take part.
The Easter Club gives children a safe and welcoming place to spend time during the school holidays. They will take part in creative activities, group games and team sessions. These activities help children build confidence, make friends and support their wellbeing.
Each day includes a mix of creative and physical activities. Children can try new things, express themselves and develop new skills. Our team supports them throughout in a relaxed and friendly setting.
We offer places only to children with a valid HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) free school meal code. This helps us support families who need it most.
Spaces are limited and filling quickly. If your child is eligible, please contact us as soon as possible to book a place.

Food Bank News
24/03/2026We want to let our community know about some temporary changes over the Easter period.
Due to the bank holidays and our Easter Holiday Club running on-site, we will pause our food bank service from 30th March to 13th April. This allows our team to focus fully on delivering the programme and supporting the young people attending.
We will also pause all walk-in services from 7th to 10th April. During this week, the building will be in use for the holiday club each day. We will not be able to accept drop-ins or unplanned visits during these dates.
This decision is also in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people on-site. While sessions are running, we must manage access to the building and limit who is entering the space. This helps us maintain a safe, secure and structured environment for everyone involved.
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, especially for those who regularly use our services. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we deliver this important programme for local young people during the school holidays.
If you need support during this time, we encourage you to get in touch with us in advance where possible, and we will do our best to signpost you to alternative support if needed.
All services will return to normal from Monday 13th April, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back.

Covering 10 adults and 5 children in total were so happy to have been able to support so many people with these essentials this week 💙 plus we had 20 walk-ins for fresh bread and produce this week AND enough fresh items went to the cube and the Balmoral to feed an additional estimated 100 people! 😮

05/06/2024Due to a number of issues we’ve incurred with our current system we have had to update some things. This is aimed at providing fair and efficient service to everyone and will be taking effect from next week.
June now only has 4 spaces available, current bookings will be honoured but your next collection can only be booked in once you’ve completed the update form and read the new terms and conditions.
Key changes include:One parcel per household: Multiple registrations from the same household will lead to removal for a minimum of three months.No-show policy: Missed pick-ups without notice will result in removal from the list and will need to re-apply after 3 months.Collection changes: Your first 4 collections on this system will be monthly (if needed), but any collections from then will be bi-monthly (Every other month) with a budgeting referral.
