We also offer teaching the art of photography, from basics like ISO, shutter speed and focus to composition techniques. Along with how to light different subjects, we can go as deep as you like with tutorials on Photoshop along with colour grading, when working with us, we may give you the tools to become better at taking photographs, the rest must come from yourself.
We aim to provide something for everyone, dancing takes many forms in the creative arts and at Harmony we offer a platform for performers to shine. We have a super hall with mirrors available for rehearsals, plus a refreshment area along with a stage and music playing facilities. Require a dance teacher? No problem! We have our very own dance instructor on staff, available to choreograph and teach to any group or individual.
We have had a many DJ’s pass through our doors in the pass and our founder is a DJ himself, this means we are able to offer lessons in DJ-ing. Our in house DJ setup is always ready to go if you’re interested in giving it a try or reigniting an old DJ flame within you.
Harmony Youth Project are in the process of setting up an anti-bullying group after being approached by young people with a desperate need for more support. The new charity aims to provide more help particularly to those who are being bullied on social media sites. Project manager Charlie Barrett said: “The idea to set up an anti-bullying charity came from young people, and when young people come to you, you know there is a demand for a service like this.”
We aim to provide something for everyone, whether you want to get involved in sport, performing arts or just need a place to chill out and talk. If you have any issues such as hate crime, racism or bullying, then pop in for an informal chat, a brew and just take time out, no pressure. Sometimes a conversation can solve the problem and help open a clear path, other times just having somewhere to chill or put your efforts into something creative can. Whatever you need, our doors are open and our staff is ready to help.

At Harmony we use intergenerational communications to allow the youth of today to gain a true perspective of the time and generation they live in, this also gives the older generation a chance to reminisce on their life experiences, compare times, offer advice and life skills which may be beneficial to the next generation. Of course, other than these interesting (and sometimes amazing) stories being delivered to our youngsters, it also enlightens our elderly and opens a door to visualise how our youth of today see the world around them.
From huge works of art, radio plays or anti-litter initiatives, we at Harmony are excellent at project ideas. Whatever idea or subject your project revolves around, we can tailor it to suit any age group or amount of participants, we can add variables to make it an exciting time involving all concerned. Our centre is available for use, plus many additional locations with our partners can also be utilised. Add on’s can include coach trips, art, live music, magicians, you name it we can provide, all we require is your vision!
Our employment club is aimed at those in their teens to early twenties, particularly those who are vulnerable and at risk of falling into drugs and crime. The young people we work with improve their job prospects by receiving support on writing CV’s, interview techniques and gaining qualifications at Harmony Youth Project. A Big Thank you to cfu Ltd for donating computers to Harmony for the purpose of helping with this project.
