As a children’s charity working with some of the most deprived young people in and around Bolton, we at Harmony Youth Project rely on our volunteers to help us keep things running smoothly.

Available positions:
We are expanding our operations! This means that most of our current positions are being held in our new location. This will be in the centre of Bolton town with a focus more on family and mental health services, so a lot of the volunteer positions we have available are tailored to what we need to get that running. Cleaner:
We are currently looking for volunteers who can come in to clean the centres, hours to be arranged. We are situated on the top floor of a converted mill and the space is quite large, featuring a dance floor, craft area, 2 toilets, upstairs chill zone, 3 offices, 3 recording studios and a kitchen. We also have a smaller space in town which we are in need of a cleaner for, let us know when you contact us which location would work best for you.
After an introduction to the space and the cleaning equipment, you’ll need to be able to work independently and to a good quality. You do not need to be a professional cleaner or have any experience cleaning.
Reception/Admin for new location:
We are looking for people who can volunteer time for admin work and reception. Hours to be arranged with you, you will be working alongside other volunteers and will be directing the public to the service they are looking for, whether it be a counselling session, free packed lunch or one of our support workers. You will be our front of house for this new location so we expect you to be welcoming, helpful and friendly to all who come into the centre.
Counsellors:
We are looking for anyone with any experience in counselling and psychology, this includes students with at least the first 2 years of university completed by the time you start and qualified counsellors who want to volunteer their time to help more people. The type of counselling we will have on offer will be using a variety of styles, including; traditional therapy, creative therapy and music therapy.
Play Worker:
We are looking for play workers available for holiday activities and weekly clubs. Regular club hours to be arranged with you but holiday club hours are pre-decided. You will be working alongside other volunteers and staff to help provide the best and safest clubs and activities for some of Bolton’s most deprived children and families.
