At Harmony Youth Project, our studios provide a creative space where young people can explore music, media and digital creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
The studios give young people the chance to express themselves, build confidence and develop practical skills. In addition, they create positive opportunities for learning, collaboration and creativity.
Whether someone is interested in music recording, media production or simply trying something new, our studio space offers a welcoming environment for young people across Bolton.
Our Studio in Westhoughton
We now have one main studio based in Westhoughton, fully equipped for recording, mixing and music production. It’s an ideal space for young people, community groups and emerging artists to develop their sound in a supportive, creative environment.
Portable Studio – We Can Come to You
We also offer a portable recording studio, allowing us to host sessions almost anywhere — schools, community centres, youth clubs or events. It’s a brilliant way to take music-making on the road and make it accessible to even more young people across Bolton and beyond.
Music recording and creative expression
Our recording studio allows young people to write, record and develop their own music.
This gives young people the opportunity to:
- Explore creativity through music
- Build confidence and communication skills
- Learn recording and production techniques
- Work positively with others
As a result, many young people develop new interests, skills and ambitions through studio-based projects.
Alongside music production, our studios also support media and digital creativity.
Young people can gain experience in:
- Video and media projects
- Podcast and interview recording
- Creative editing and production
- Digital communication skills
These opportunities help young people build practical skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression.
