#TeamBolton Meal and a Movie

We’ve had a fun and fantastic start to 2023 already! We were invited, along with a group of Harmonys young people to join #TeamBolton for a 3-course meal and cinema trip on Friday the 6th Jan and we had a fantastic time! The food was fantastic and the children all loved joining in on a fancy meal and free trip to the light cinema. We’re so grateful to have been given the opportunity to join team Bolton and the team behind the HAF projects for this event and look forward to a new year of HAF clubs and more!

Winter Holiday Club Success!

Our first holiday club in the new centre was a brilliant success! Over 50 children from across Bolton joined us from the 27th-30th to fill the days between Christmas and new years with fun, games and crafts. We are so pleased that our first holiday club in this centre went well and are looking forward to many future activities and clubs here.

We’ve loved seeing so many of our usual children again and meeting so many new ones, we can’t wait for our next club and keeping this party going into the new year!

We are funded by the KFC Foundation!

We’re excited to announce that we have received grant funding from @kfcfoundation_uk. Harmony was selected amongst various local organisations across KFC restaurant communities in the UK, with the aim of empowering young people to fulfil their potential. Thank you to the KFC Foundation for recognising the work we do to improve the lives of young people in Bolton.

Book now to join our Winter club!

We’re running our winter holiday club at the new centre on Halliwell road (Address on poster) and would love for you to join us! Just like our other holiday clubs these days are completely FREE. Booking closes on the 22nd December ‘22 as there will be nobody in the office to take bookings from the 23rd-9th. We will also not be accepting walk-ins or days of booking over the phone with our lead youth worker.

Our New office!

We have moved into our new office in town centre! We’re having some trouble with internet connections and phones so if you need to contact us please email at: [email protected] and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

We’re looking to open our doors in the new year and will be holding a open day and launch party to welcome people into the new space and show you what we’ve been up to and what we’re doing next.

A goodbye letter to Wordsworth mill from our CEO, Charlie Barrett

This week is a very emotional one for me and many others connected to Harmony. We are leaving our centre of nearly 20 years on Friday. In the time we have enjoyed here, I have seen so many bright young people flourish in this safe, warm and creative environment. Many of these children are now adults with careers inspired by their time with us and children of their own, some who have joined Harmony and brought us full circle

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every child who has taken part or just passed through this amazing centre. Every Volunteer who has given so much of their precious time to support, advise and be role models to all the wonderful children we have hosted here. All of our amazing and creative staff, whether you be dancers, singers, musicians, DJs or admin, for showing our young people a creative alternative to negative behaviours.

We are handing the keys over on Friday 28th October 2022. If anyone would like to come by this week and take one last look before then you are more than welcome. If you have any pictures, videos or memories of your time at Harmony you would like to share please comment or send them over, it would be great to reminisce over all the great times we’ve had and create a page on our website dedicated to the amazing times we’ve had here.

This is not the end of Harmony, or the end of our media centre. We may be leaving here but we are starting anew in our new media centre above “super car clinic” (105 Halliwell Rd, Bolton, BL1 3NB) to continue our much needed youth work and creative projects. We also have our new office in the town centre, providing mental health services, counselling and advice for adults and families across Bolton.
