November is Mens Mental Health Month

Today is the first day of #mensmentalhealthmonth 💙 Mens mental health is so often overlooked in favour of being ‘strong’ and ‘tough’ that many men and boys grow up believing their feelings and emotions don’t matter or are shameful. We at Harmony believe that being soft and sensitive doesn’t make you less of a man, it makes you stronger💪

Let’s break the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and start a conversation that can save lives. It’s okay to not be okay, and it’s even more okay to seek help and support when you need it. Remember, real strength is in talking, sharing, and supporting one another.

✅ Check-In: Ask your friends, brothers, and partners how they’re feeling today. A simple “How are you?” can make all the difference.

🗣️ Talk: It’s not a sign of weakness to open up about your thoughts and emotions. Share what’s on your mind with someone you trust.

🌱 Self-Care: Prioritise self-care and mental well-being just like you would physical health. Meditation, exercise, and hobbies are great outlets.

🤝 Support: Reach out to mental health professionals, counsellors, or helplines when needed. They’re here to help you navigate your journey to better mental health.

📚 Educate: Learn more about mental health to understand your own feelings and to support those around you. Knowledge is power.

💙 YOU MATTER: Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Don’t suffer in silence; you’re not alone on this journey. Together, we can make a difference. 💙
